A Common Place

Connecting people through Art, words and a Coomon Place during lockdown
This project was organised by Eames Fine Art, London during the first lockdown in the UK in the early summer 2020. The idea was to match a writer from the 26 writers group to an artist who is represented by the gallery. The artist would create an artwork and the writer would write a poem about their shared 'common place'.

Due to the restrictions the initial meeting was done online using Zoom and names of the participants were pulled from two hats to randomly pair artists with writers. I was paired with Alastair Creamer.

The exhibition is on at the Eames Fine Art Print Room,159 Bermondsey Street, London SE1 3UW
from 11th November until 24th December

You can view this online at where you will also be able to see a film about the project and read more about each of the works.

If you would like to know more about my collaboration with Alastair Creamerhten please read Notes for "A Common Place", which you can find in the about malcolm section of this website.
